31-January-2023 — 10:00 - 14:00
FreeIn the era in which we currently find ourselves digitization and globalization, both companies and individuals through social networks and the Internet, generates a high volume of data per day, even reaching millions of gigabytes per day. Through the collection, management and storage of this data, companies can take advantage of it to create value in the different departments (finance, marketing, logistics, etc.). Currently, companies carry out their activity in environments characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity, that is, VUCA environments.
The use and exploitation of data undoubtedly supposes a strategic advantage for the company, since it can convert this large volume of data into useful information for improving decision-making and thus reduce the environment of risk or uncertainty in which different companies can usually find themselves.

This is exactly what we are going to deal with in this work, first, we will define the key concepts of this very broad area, we will clarify, among others, the concepts of big data, data science, machine learning, supervised learning or unsupervised learning.
The technologies that are going to be presented and described are mainly developed in the programming language python, the most widely used in data science due to its similarity to natural language and its simplicity.
