Meet Ariadna Terrón, founder of MIA BAKERY, company for the production, distribution and sale of artisanal pastry products, handmade with organic and local ingredients and which has been awarded the “Access to the youngest entrepreneur” in our Entrepreneurs Award 2023, one of the Madrid City Council's lines of recognition for the work of women entrepreneurs and which has the purpose of promoting, encouraging, supporting, promoting and motivating the entrepreneurial capacity of women. 

Mia Bakery started 3 years ago, when Ariadna and her partner Cristina decided to leave their jobs in marketing and fashion to make their dream of opening their first pastry shop come true and fill the gap in the market that they discovered after their father was diagnosed with diabetes: there were no appetizing sugar-free cake options in Madrid.

Mia Bakery was born as a pastry shop in 2020, but it was before being able to open its doors that a confinement arrived, so they had to pivot the entire business plan and focus on the channel on-line during the first year. Later, they opened their first store as a small sales and collection point. This 2023 they have opened their first cafeteria to offer an omnichannel experience to the customer and develop the business model of physical stores.
