“When you have knowledge, you make any ingredient brilliant.” For the chef, born in Bahia and raised in the Complexo do Andaraí, in Rio de Janeiro, cooking can and should be democratic and transformative. Through dishes made with simple ingredients, but with a lot of knowledge, João Augusto Santos Batista, chef João Diamante, built his career in the kitchen and encourages future chefs in their social projects.
João Diamante worked with one of the greatest legends of world gastronomy, chef Alain Ducasse at the Eiffel Tower restaurant and is executive chef of the restaurant 'Na Minha Casa'. He is also the creator of the social project 'Diamonds in the Kitchen', in which he uses gastronomy as a tool of transformation.
Among all the awards he won during his career, there is the 30 young talents and promises of Brazil by the magazine Forbes, and on January 29 he debuted on Rede Globo with the program 'Minha Máe Cozinha Melhor Que a Sua'. Diamante currently works in gastronomy, giving conferences and is an influencer with more than 570 thousand followers on Instagram.
